Becky is a wonderful human that I have a lot of time for. Not only is she a fabulous photographer, but she is a very calm person, very organised, super easy to talk to and puts you right at ease.
We actually found Becky through a google search but I have been telling all of my friends and family about this wondeful photographer. Right from the off, Becky was super excited to capture our day as it was at Arnos Vale Cemetary in Bristol.
Becky is a true professional, super friendly, and absolutely has amazing ideas. She was able to capture the emotions and moments of our wedding day in a stunning way. She made us feel comfortable and natural in front of the camera. Her photos are beautiful and artistic, with perfect lighting, angles, and colors. We were overjoyed with the final results.

The Wedding Day Story

The wedding ceremony was beautiful, with Bristol-based Celebrant Debbie conducting a gorgeous, unique and personal ceremony and pronouncing Libby and Dan as husband and wife. Smudge, of course, was the ring bearer and everyone was in tears at how meaningful the hand-written vows were.

After the ceremony drinks were served at the Underwood Centre with confetti being thrown, family photos captured and hugs and kisses aplenty as congratulations were wished.

Dinner was served in the Anglican chapel, which had naturally been decorated in a nature-inspired, woodland theme. Once speeches had been delivered, we headed out for a walk around the Cemetery for some cool portraits.

The evening reception was happening in the Spielman Centre and so once the DJ was set up, Libby and Dan took to the dancefloor for their first dance while guests whooped and cheered before joining them to party late into the night. 

Arnos Vale Wedding Venue

Tucked away, just a stone’s throw from Bristol City centre, this gem of a place has 45 acres of woodland and three venues to choose from. Just a few minutes from Temple Meads, you’d hardly know this beautiful woodland estate existed, especially by comparison to its industrial neighbour the Paintworks, which is far more noticeable from the main road separating the two venues.

Arnos Vale is a traditional Victorian cemetery now licensed for both indoor and outdoor weddings.

The Spielman Centre has grand steps which lead up to beautiful pillars framing large wooden doors. This elegant feat of Victorian architecture was designed in 1839 and now has a modern glass atrium café attached too. This building is licensed for marriage and civil ceremonies which can be booked via Bristol Register office.

The Anglican Chapel is a Grade II listed building, licensed for church of England ceremonies, with its incredible belltower.

Finally, tucked away in this unique forest ecosystem is the Underwood Centre, perfect for nature-inspired outdoor ceremonies with its large oak beams, tin room and wooden benches. Outdoor ceremonies can be booked via Bristol Register office with registrars coming to complete the marriage formalities.

Not only is Arnos Vale an incredibly unique place to get married, but your wedding will also go towards supporting the wonderful charity that is Arnos Vale.

Bristol Weddings

Bristol is such a cool city, one I’ve come to call home having moved here back in 2011.

There are so many cool and quirky venues within the city iteself, from the Mount Without to the Radnor Rooms or The Forge. Further afield are more traditional country weddings such as Coombe Lodge, Priston Mill or Aldwick Estate. Whatever style of wedding you’re after, you’re sure to find a wedding venue that’ll suit your vision and unique style.

I have often taken clients up to the Suspension Bridge for photos, an icon Bristol Landscape and a perfect backdrop for any Bristol newly-wed portrait session. Shooting with a higher f-stop enables me to keep my subject and the iconic backdrop in focus.
