I’m Becky and I’m a Bath wedding photographer.

My approach to photographing weddings is natural and informal. It’s imperative that my clients get time to enjoy their day with their loved ones, I am not going to be taking you off for hours of posed photographs, I just want you to relax and enjoy your day.

I absolutely love to capture the real, gorgeous moments between you and those you love. I create storytelling wedding photographs that you’ll cherish for many years to come.

I offer full-day and micro-wedding packages and am happy to put together bespoke packages for clients who need something a bit different.

Practical Bath Wedding Advice

Bath is one of the most beautiful cities in the UK to get married in, known for its honey-coloured Georgian architecture and iconic landmarks — but its popularity means a little planning goes a long way.

Travel around Bath can be slow, especially during peak tourist seasons or events like the Bath Christmas Market. If your day involves moving between venues, it’s wise to allow generous travel time. London Road, one of the main routes into the city from the motorway, can be particularly busy.

City centre wedding photos are stunning, but there will almost always be large crowds. Areas near Bath Abbey attract lots of tourists, because it is just so beautiful. I once photographed confetti outside the Cathedral after a ceremony, and it honestly included as many tourists as guests! One beautiful alternative for couples wanting iconic city centre portraits without the bustle is a sunrise wedding at the Roman Baths, when the city is quieter, and the light is soft and flattering.

Parking in central Bath can be limited, though the park-and-ride system is helpful for guests. The city itself is compact and walkable, and Bath Spa train station sits right in the centre, with regular train connections to Bristol, the Cotswolds and London.

Bath offers no shortage of beautiful places for portraits. Royal Victoria Park and the Royal Crescent provide classic green spaces with some stunning architectural views.

The Temple of Minerva in the Botanical Gardens is a lovely setting for intimate micro-weddings. Many couples choose Bath specifically for smaller celebrations because it’s such a picturesque city with endless options for eating, staying and exploring — perfect for guests making a weekend of it.

The Bath Register Office is centrally located near Bath Abbey, with the charming Parade Gardens just a short walk away. Although there is a small entrance fee, the gardens offer nice photo spots and iconic views of the weir and Pulteney Bridge.

One of my favourite venues for stunning city views, without the city centre stress, is Prior Park College, and somewhere that I work a lot.

Bath, a truly beautiful city for a wedding

With a plethora of inspiring backdrops so it’s no surprise I love photographing weddings in and around Bath.

The gorgeous city of Bath is a popular spot to get married. This amazing city has to be one of the most beautiful here in the UK, with stunning Georgian architecture at every turn, landscaped parklands and intriguing geography. It’s not difficult to lose an afternoon strolling through Bath’s City streets, stopping off at independent boutiques and coffee shops and admiring the pretty surroundings.

You don’t have to travel far to be out in breathtaking English countryside either, with scattered chocolate box villages, breathtaking arable farmland and rolling hills aplenty.

Some of my absolute favourite Bath wedding venues include Folly Farm, Priston Mill and Wick Farm

“Becky was wonderful from start to finish!”

“We can not recommend her enough!

We initially booked Becky because we wanted an intuitive, natural photographer who would complement and embrace the rustic style of wedding we were planning, we were not disappointed! Becky was fantastic on the day, incredibly patient, discrete, positive and FUN!

We are more than delighted that the photographs she delivered were exactly what we hoped for and even better than we ever imagined! She captured the most subtle moments (along with the biggest) of all our guests and the whole essence of the day.

Becky was wonderful and her photos make us beam from ear to ear, what more can you ever hope for!!”

Photography in and around Bath

Prior Park Landscape Garden is one of my all-time favourite spots for photographs, a real gem on the south side of the city, with stunning views over Bath. Lots of couples get engaged within the 18th century Landscaped Garden, usually on the historic Palladian Bridge.

On one of our first-ever dates, my husband took me to see the band Daughter at The Komedia in central Bath, which was really something. Afterwards, we took a stroll along the river Avon, over the Pulteney Bridge and caught the train back to Bristol from Bath Spa. We’ve spent many an evening in the Assembly Rooms and enjoy the Bath Christmas Markets every year.

Some friends recently introduced us to the Skyline Walk in Bath, which was very popular with my cocker spaniel, Ted!

There’s no doubt that if you’ve not been before, a trip to Bath’s Thermae Spa is also a must-do. The open-air rooftop pool has epic views over the city and across the Somerset countryside, it’s a lovely way to spend an evening with someone you love.

If you’ve not yet read my about me page then you won’t yet know that before I became a wedding photographer I was actually a nurse.  My very first practice placement took place at the Mineral Hospital in the centre of Bath. I remember parking in Victoria Park every morning and wandering through the landscaped gardens, gazing out over The Royal Crescent before strolling through the pretty Georgian streets and heading to work each day.
